I found this blog through googling the phrase, ‘Why are ballerina flats terrible and uncomfortable?’ Thanks for affirming I’m not the only one who finds these shoes impractical, ugly, and disgustingly cheap on the manufacturer’s behalf. The thin soles were designed for dance floors, not to make everyone look stumpy and feel every pebble, while straining their arches, walking on city streets.

I obviously have not checked your site in a while and was unaware that you added this post. I, being of “ballerina profession” happen to HATE those things as well. First of all, they are uncomfortable because they have no support at all and second, if you are short they make you look like an elf. You are right on as usual!

Sir, I would like to shake your hand. Your list of annoying shoes match mine exactly. Although I might put the stupid eskimo boots as most annoying, but only because they’ve been extremely popular for a lot longer. And girls are still wearing them with their fucking sweatpants tucked in. Crocs are offensive for obvious reasons. Although I have to feel a little sorry for people who wear them because I suspect they’re only doing so because they’ve completely given up on life. But those goddamn ballet flats are everywhere. It’s amazing how stupid people are. Just because they see everyone wearing something it becomes attractive to them.

when i was little i thought i was gonna be a ballerina when i grew up… but well, as you know… im not very graceful. ha!
